What I choose for my soap
Apricot Kernel Oil - is a highly conditioning and moisturizing oil. It provides a stable creamy lather. It is high in oleic and linoleic acids, vitamins A, E, and C making it very moisturizing and conditioning to the skin.
Avocado Oil - provides a medium, creamy lather and is very conditioning to the skin. It is high in vitamins A, B, D, and E as well as oleic and palmitoleic acids. It is considered healing and moisturizing for dry and mature skin.
Babassu Oil - provides a high lather and is cleansing to the skin. This oil adds hardness to the bar. It is rich in vitamin E, phytosterols, and other antioxidants.
Castor Oil - provides bubbles, a creamy lather and is moisturizing and conditioning to the skin. It is traditionally used to treat skin rashes and infections.
Cocoa Butter - is conditioning and moisturizing to the skin. It is high in vitamin E and other antioxidants. It allows helps hold moisture in the skin.
Coconut Oil - provides a great lather and is cleansing to the skin.
Jojoba Oil - has a strong lather and is conditioning to the skin and hair.
Lard - makes a wonderful, hard, and long lasting bar. It provides a stable, creamy lather.
Mango Butter - is very conditioning and moisturizing to the skin. It is high in vitamins A and C as well as antioxidants. It is great for dry skin and is great in facial soaps due to its high moisturizing abilities.
Neem Oil - traditionally used as an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent. It is calming to the skin making it a great ingredient in soap for those with acne or sensitive skin.
Olive Oil - makes a very gentle soap good for babies, elderly, and those with skin conditions needing a gentle soap. It is high in antioxidants like vitamin E and polyphenols.
Shea Butter - is a creamy, soft butter that gives a silky feeling to soap bars. It is high in vitamins A and E as well as fatty acids and minerals.
Sweet Almond Oil - is added to soaps for its moisturizing effects on hair and skin. It contains vitamins A, E, and linoleic acid. It is also high in oleic acid which is a moisturizing fatty acid.
Tallow - is the number one traditional ingredient for soapmaking. It makes a great bar that is bubbly, conditioning, and cleansing to the skin.
